MagnetronMagic
Welcome to the Flavour Quadrant!
I have been living and enjoying Johanna for a few months now and mostly found my rhythm with the kitchen appliances.
How to deal wit the Magnetron/Oven/Microwave situation remained a mystery for many moons, and since we all have to make do with this fuckery of an oven,
I will share some vegan recipes here that I have succesfully executed with my friends, using the Magnetron.
May this website (which was my first experiment in coding, hence the fuckass design) provide some ideas and courage to experiment with this questionable cooking device.
Enjoy!
Bienenstich: German Bee-Sting Cake
This sweet almond and cream yeast cake is a staple among German Grandmas, and they know what slaps.
I followed the recipe and just made the dough in the Magnetron and it actually worked.

Easter Yeast Braid
This traditional Easter pastry (my flatmates and I found out that Germany, Slovakia and Poland have it) inspired this website.
We were quite impressed that the Magnetron handled it. The recipe states 30 minutes, I baked it for about 50 minutes at the recommended temperature.
It turns out that baking anything on the lower side of the roast (like in the photo) is super helpful, so the bottom gets some airflow!

Nut-Swirl
This hearty-wintery-nut-swirl was made from frozen pastry dough and filling as described in the recipe. Their gravy sauce was also super quick!
It was in the Magnetron for about 50 minutes at 200°C.
This is the recipe with the swirl and sauce:

Classic Banana Bread :]
Really just a super simple and tasty banana bread. Great if you have chocolote or nuts you can add laying around!
I usually have to put it into the Magnetron for like 70 minutes at 180°C.
